La RED Komodo est un boîtier qui s’impose comme une excellente solution pour apporter les standards du cinéma au drone FPV : elle pèse 915 grammes à nue, elle est ultra compacte et optimisée pour encaisser des crashs.
Son global shutter est idéal pour garder une image lisse durant les mouvements dynamiques, et son capteur Super 35mm avec sa plage dynamique de 16+ stops offre une qualité d’image à couper le souffle.
C’est un réel avantage face à une Sony FX6 qui est une caméra excellente, mais va se désintégrer au moindre crash.
Je l’utilise pour le moment uniquement sur l’Atlas 8″, un cinelifter confectionné sur mesure avec Parallax FPV, dont je propose son utilisation avec un objectif Canon 10-18mm.
Il est possible de monter votre propre objectif dessus.

The RED Komodo is a camera body that stands out as an excellent solution for bringing cinema standards to FPV drones: it weighs 915 grams stripped down, is ultra-compact, and is optimized to withstand crashes.
Its global shutter is ideal for keeping a smooth image during dynamic movements, and its Super 35mm sensor with a dynamic range of 16+ stops offers breathtaking image quality.
This is a real advantage compared to a Sony FX6 which is an excellent camera but will disintegrate at the slightest crash.
For now, I only use it on the Atlas 8”, a custom-built cinelifter made with Parallax FPV, and I offer its use with a Canon 10-18mm lens.
It is possible to mount your own lens on it.
